FEBUARY 20 - The month begins with James and Maria having a talk aver what she is dealing with. She promises after a few days she’ll get her shit together and go home to the saloon. James extends his offer of habitat, if she needs it, and summons Gerald for a lengthy discussion about their future plans. Gerald starts to search the internet for info, while James also starts making phone calls on his own to all his corporate buddies “feeling them out” and asking double-edged questions. They answer them, and in the process James starts to gain info – albeit over a long time and in short bursts.
During these first couple of weeks Maria also heads back to the saloon, and James has several conversations with Carl – sort of a fixer to further codify his information. Eventually, he strikes upon an idea. He asks Nanna if she can contact the bid baddie of the Sept of the Wind Chaser and get a meeting with him. She offers her opinions of him, and agrees to make the necessary phone call.
Around the middle of the month, the date for the meeting arrives. Nanna agrees to go with James as they move to meet Gnuris One-Eye in a Subway downtown. Nanna tells James all about the Get War Chief as they travel, plus adding her own .02 cents worth. They have the meeting, and James is impressed by the Get Ahroun immediately but decides on how he’s going to handle him. They have a lengthy discussion, and James manages (not hard.) to piss off Gnuris, who quickly institutes a Facedown. James immediately beats him, massively, but is impressed by Gnuris’s restraint as the Lupus warrior accepts surrender. James invites him to Join their cause and Sept, to which Gnuris says he will take it under consideration. As they leave, Nanna remarks that it all went better than she thought it would.
A couple of days pass and a scruffy looking gang shows up at the Saloon asking for James. Fixer contacts him and tells him there are people waiting for him and to get on over. He shows up and introductions are made. They are the Pack of the Claw, and the Bull is their totem. The gang is made up of their leader One-Eye, a Get of Fenris Ahroun Elder (Gnuris) a rough looking guy and Saint, a Shadow Lord Elder (Sebastian) a tall guy with a dominating demeanor plus Eyes-Of-The-Sun, a Uktena Ahroun (Ann) a Native American with red hair as well as Hail-Tounge, a Silver Fang Ahroun Elder (Kurlos) who seems to be totally proper and holy. The last figure is Pariah, an unknown individual with a rather homeless look. One-Eye promises to explain him later.
Nanna and Carl show up and join Fixer, James and the rest in the back having discussions. Maria continues serving drinks and food until Fixer asks her to contact Hans and David so everyone will be there. She does so while everyone talks. Hans and David show up, and introductions are made all around again including the affirmation that the Pack of the Claw is joining the Sept. Gnuris and Hans start to act all Get-like, and eventually Gnuris offers to “take it outside”. Hans agrees, and they leave. Once outside they start to fight, and both are rather evenly matched, bashing each other thru and into cars all over the lot. Hans summons a Fire Elemental, and Gnuris beats him with a car. Eventually Gnuris wins, and offers his hand to Hans who accepts defeat with honor. They go back to partying, and Fixer brings in the Iron Riders for introductions. Eventually, everyone goes to bed, and Fixer and James go into Fixer’s office to wrap up some work. Kyleah shows up and talks to Fixer and James some, as well as startling Maria a bit, before she mentions their names have been mentioned in the Shadowland occasionally lately. James asks her about the collection of any “troops” from the Shadowlands for their help, and she tells them she has located about 20 but they will only work if paid about 3 Gnosis each. James and Fixer immediately come up with modified plans, and Kyleah leaves.
A few days pass, and James and Fixer go into the Umbra so James can bond with Beorn, the packs totem, and Fixer can summon some spirits. He summons up a Fire Elemental and talks with it some, gaining its help, then he binds it into a huge bolt for later use. He also practices summoning Gafflings. Eventually he grows weary and rejoins James as he is bonding with Beorn, and he takes up the bonding as well. All is going well between them all.
Suddenly, Beorn grows annoyed at uninvited guests arriving and leaves as a small crowd of wimpy ass spirits show up. Fixer communicates with them some before they suddenly enlarge, are possessed by Scraggs and rise up to fight. James and Fixer fight like hell, and Fixer actually binds one of them into a washer before throwing it away. James tends to the others, and the fight is over with them both surviving to head home.
Nest day, Nicole finds James and tells him Travis and Adam have both disappeared. James tells Maria and Fixer about it, and Fixer casts some Rituals in order to find them. They climb into Jame’s truck and Fixer drives them to their location, an abandoned part of town near the beach. In an old and dilapidated motel they come upon the two kinfolk, “asleep” or “unconscious” on one of the top floors, and they also meet an incredibly fantastic beauty that immediately causes thoughts of arousal and lust in both of them. James manages to fight it off, but Fixer falls for her charms instantly. She introduces herself as Gulfora, and describes herself as a Succubus that needs “helpers”, so can she have these two? James manages to remain calm while he politely denies her. She talks round and round with James, until eventually she disappears, taking a healthy chunk of James memory with her. Fixer comes back around, and the two of them take the kinfolk down to the truck. Fixer cleanses them some, while also telling James what all happened, Eventually he succeeds in helping James recover, as well as his two kinfolk.
The next day, on 2/21/20, Fixer goes into the Umbra and locates Beorn and ask him if he can make some of the cubs into talens for their upcoming big fight. Beorn agrees, and Fixer binds some of them into some washers he has. Then he summons a huge ole Earth Elemental named Ragg, and he pays him some Gnosis before asking him if he will “guard and protect” the Ironhorse Salon for a monthly cost. Ragg agrees, and Fixer discuss options with him before heading home.
Fixer goes into the Umbra again and summons a big net spider named Skreek and asks him to recruit some more net spiders to help watch over the Ironhorse Saloon. A collection of bikers (The Wolf Pack) show up and cause some shit, causing Travis and their leader (Tyrus) to go outside and duke it out. Gnuris shows up as well as steps in to talk with Fixer. Outside the fight is going on well for Tyrus, even when the Iron Riders jump in to help Travis – still in the end Tyrus wins. He offers his hand to Travis, who asks him to join their gang. Tyrus agrees, but says it must wait til the next night.
Next day Fixer goes back into the Umbra again to summon and bind more spirits. As evening approaches, James and Fixer meet with Tyrus and his gang and question them about various things, like fees and what it is they are good for and stuff. Fixer talks with the Iron Riders about what all they expect come March, and what they need to do to prepare for it. Maria runs her mouth, and James set’s Gerald and Maria up with a sparring match. James tells Gerald not to go easy on Maria, cause she won’t go easy on him. James also warns Travis and the Iron Riders about the Wolf Pack and tells them Gerald will be training them starting tomorrow. As a show of how good he is, he and Maria will duke it out. They begin to fight, and Gerald starts off by stabbing Maria thru the heart. She recovers, and tears ass on him like no one’s business until Gerald snaps and “snikt” takes her head off on one blow. Everyone is shocked, including James and Fixer, but definitely sobered by the display. Gerald apologizes, and Fixer cleanses her body and cremates it.
