APRIL 21 - The last of snowmagedden fades as the Winter of Gaia passes and Spring approaches. The long delayed but carefully crafted work on rebuilding the Fanum is completed as well just as the first storms of Spring wash the area with a deluge of Gaia’s Tears. Fixer spends the last of March and the beginning of April locked away in the Umbral library, studying their Occult Library as he attempts to learn more about Klaives and Fetishes. James is amazed that things now seem so calm, considering, and he pulls David aside and grants him the Rank/Title of Gatekeeper for the Sept. He is honored, and for his first task James sets him the task of opening the Moon Bridge back to the caern in Canada. Gladly David sets about doing this, and opens the Moon Bridge to find Ingrid wants to talk with James.
David contacts James and informs him of her request. James contacts Fixer and the two of them meet with her to see what she wants. Ingrid advises them she has a problem that needs dealt with, but in such a fashion that no attention is drawn toward them and so Abrax doesn’t find out. James arches an eyebrow and asks for details. Ingrid tells them about the Anasasi, and how a particularly nasty one going by the name of Nancie is in charge of a Government Supply House named Cyber Solutions Inc in Hebron. Lately the caern has reason to believe they have been kidnapping, experimenting or outright killing some of their scattered kinfolk, wolves and various Werewolves. It has come to the point where the situation needs investigated, but if Abrax finds out about it he will simply fly into “Hulk Smash” mode and that will result in Cyber Solutions Inc being wiped out.
Which might be what is needed, however Cyber Solutions Inc is a division of Pentex, and is known for crafting and employing a wide variety of cyber-enhanced Black Spirals, Fomori, and other dubious creatures that is utilized by the Canadian SAD, or “Mounties In Black”. If they discover their main source of nifty cyber stuff vanishes, it will draw attention to the caern and the CAD will come upon them in full force, which is bad. Not that Ingrid, like the rest of them, wouldn’t relish a good fight to prepare for Ragnarock, this would devolve quickly into a World of Darkness “Vietnam” with no real clear winners.
So, to make a long story short, Ingrid asks Jame and Fixer if they would come up to Hebron and “deal with the situation” without Abrax knowing about it or causing the Canadian SAD to enter the picture. A special Monkeywrenching, as it were. James and Fixer discuss the “Hebron Initiative”, among other things, and Fixer announces that they should consider setting out to breed some Kinfolk. James agree to keep it in the back of his mind for now, and changes topics to discuss the Kindred situation in the area. With that in mind, James contacts Ingyana and asks her to get in contact with Fixer to see about setting up some commando raids up north. Ingyana talks with Fixer and she offers to notify her “ghoul” Susie to go work up north. She agrees to come to Chicago to meet the duo.
Fixer decides to contact James’s Dad and see if he can’t arrange a commando team of Monkeywrenchers to aid them up off the coast of Hebron, around the oil refineries. James’s Dad agrees to send the best team he has to Chicago to meet the duo, and warns Fixer his ex-wife, James’s Mother, (Natalya) leads the team.
A few days pass and Fixer has the Iron Legion go out and meet/bring in Susie. She meets the team and sets up shop in the Bar, taking a rest while being briefed on what’s expected from her. Natalya and her team of commandos show up and meet the duo, especially James. He is outraged, and realizes Fixer is the cause of him not getting to prepare for his Mother’s arrival. They meet Ivan, her Tech Guy, and Igor, her Demo Guy, and James arranges for Gerald to get houses for Susie and the commando’s to settle into. Then he nearly punches Fixer as he vents his rage. As Natalya make matters worse by being the Ice Queen, James clears the Bar and has words with Fixer, expressing his ire.
